Stephen Jones provided an encouraging update on Dallas Cowboys center Travis Frederick, who was diagnosed in August with Guillain-Barre syndrome and who has been on the team’s reserve/non-football illness list since October.
During an appearance on Movin’ The Chains, Jones, the Cowboys’ executive vice president, told Jim Miller and Pat Kirwan that Frederick was “doing well” in his recovery from the rare neurological disorder.
‘I felt like maybe there was a little pressure, maybe he might be pushing it too hard to get back’
“As he progressed, we were told you would know if you needed to have a little more patience,” Jones said. “I don’t think it’s a question of him getting back; I think it’s just when.
“And I felt like maybe there was a little pressure, maybe he might be pushing it too hard to get back and I let him just know, ‘Hey, you’re going to be on IR here for eight weeks and minimum of eight weeks. Let’s just do this the right way and we’ll see what happens.'”
