CNN’s Fareed Zakaria will be joining me Saturday morning on my LIVE show to talk about his new TV special, Why They Hate Us, that premieres Monday, April 11 at 9 pm ET on CNN. The program honestly looks at why have we seen terror attacks from a small group of radical Muslims over the past 15 years with the focal point being: what is fueling the rage? Is the anger based on religion? Is it in response to American foreign policy grievances? Perhaps it’s in response to the oppression of Muslims by leaders the West backs? Or something else? Join us for a brutally honest conversation about the issue.
– Anti-LGBT Christian sharia law comes to Mississippi and North Carolina. This week the Republican governor of Mississippi signed into a law a measure that allows business owners the right to deny service to people simply based on their sexual orientation. This is truly no different that Jim Crow era laws that discriminated against blacks simply based on their race. And last week in North Carolina, Republicans there enacted a law that struck down protections for members of the LGBT community that had been implemented by local governments in the state, such as barring discrimination in the work place. These laws are based on the Bible’s view of gays. Daayiee Abdullah, the nation’s only openly gay Muslim Imam, will join me to discuss these horrible laws designed to punish members of the LGBT community.
You are my guest. In these two segments, it’s you, the SiriusXM listener, that’s my guest. I don’t want you to just join the conversation, I want you to drive the conversation. Here are the two issues:
– Is it sexist to criticize Hillary Clinton for the past conduct of her husband Bill? This week protesters criticized Hillary for the 1994 crime bill that then President Bill Clinton signed into law that many believe led to mass incarnations. And a few moths ago, Donald Trump attacked Hillary for her husband’s past affair with Monica Lewinsky. Is it sexist to say a wife must answer for the sins of her husband? Do we ever hold men responsible for the bad conduct of their wives?
-Why do we hate them? After Fareed Zakaria’s segment about “why we hate them?” we will explore the flip side: why is it “we” hate not just the terrorists but per many polls, all Muslims? Is it simply a response to terror attacks? Or is that we have been conditioned to hate Muslims by politicians together with the entertainment and news media? Is it a combo of both or something else? We will have an honest (not politically correct) conversation on the issue.
Hope you not only tune in to my LIVE show, but join the conversation at 877-974-7487. I want to hear what you think about these issues, plus join us for our weekly “Ask A Muslim” a question segment.
