The first week of my new daily show featured everything from famous comedians like Lewis Black to famous Muslims like Congressman Keith Ellison – plus everything in between. The show even made news with my interview of CNN’s Don Lemon and his statement that we shouldn’t blame the media for Trump receiving so much free press coverage. Instead, Lemon explained that CNN offered interviews to other candidates, including Bernie Sanders, who all turned down the interviews.
Next week I’ll be welcoming a cross section of great guests on my live show including Russell Simmons, CNN’s Maria Cardona, comedian Judah Friedlander, actor Mahershala Ali (Remy Danton on House of Cards) Al Jazeera English host Mehdi Hasan, Rabbi Marc Schneier and more.
But here are clips from this past week of some of my guests including The Daily Show’s Aasif Mandvi, NBC’s Ayman Mohyeldin, Trump supporter Jeffrey Lord and others.
Comedian Lewis Black tells us whether Jon Stewart could have stopped Donald Trump if he was still hosting The Daily Show:
Congressman Keith Ellison (D-MN) makes it clear that Donald Trump is a danger to our nation:
Trump supporter/CNN contributor Jeffrey Lord tells me bluntly that Trump’s rhetoric about Mexicans and Muslims helped his candidacy:
Don Lemon responds to CBS’s Les Moonves, saying Trump might be bad for America but he is good for CBS’s profits:
The Daily Show’s Aasif Mandvi on his new Nat Geo TV special about climate change:
