Von Miller has yet to receive a detailed look at what Vic Fangio’s vision is for the Denver Broncos’ defense.

After all, the Broncos only recently hired Fangio to replace Vance Joseph as their head coach. There is plenty of time before Fangio, who previously served as defensive coordinator of the Chicago Bears, gets to work with his new team in offseason drills.

‘I mean, there’s got to be rushing the quarterback, first and foremost’

However, as the Broncos’ all-time sack leader and one of the top edge rushers in the NFL, Miller there is one element he expects Fangio to emphasize.

“I’ve done a lot of great stuff, but I’m excited about becoming an all new player with Coach Fangio.”

“I mean, there’s got to be rushing the quarterback, first and foremost,” Miller told Cole Wright and Kirk Morrison on Pro Bowl Live while in Orlando, Fla., to prepare for Sunday’s all-star game. “And, of course, just trying to find a way that I can improve my game and it’s all type of ways that I can do it. And I’ve got a coach that’s excited about helping me improve as a player. I’ve done a lot of great stuff, but I’m excited about becoming an all new player with Coach Fangio.”

‘Coach V.J., I built a relationship with the guy over these last two years’

At the same time, Miller admits it was difficult to see the Broncos part ways with their previous coach, Vance Joseph.

“Yeah, it was tough,” Miller said. “Coach V.J., I built a relationship with the guy over these last two years. Very first time coaching, so I was trying to you help whatever he needed me to be, I was trying to make it happen. He’s an incredible coach. Sometimes the win column doesn’t say the same. In the National Football League, it’s all about wins, but the record of what happened in Denver has no indication of what type of coach VJ was and can be.”
