During the first day of the 2024 Republican National Convention, Donald Trump announced his running mate, J.D. Vance. Listen live to updates about the pick and more coverage on SiriusXM’s news and political channels in the car and on the SiriusXM app.
Before the announcement, this morning, FOX News host Bret Baier said he spoke on the phone with Trump, who said he “will make a VP choice today… and there are other surprises to come.” Some of the top contenders included North Dakota Gov. Doug Burgum and Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.).
The convention in Milwaukee and news of the VP pick comes days after an assassination attempt on Trump.
