Grady Jarrett on Desmond Ridder:

When asked to describe quarterback Desmond Ridder in one word, Jarrett chose “confident.” He praised Ridder’s ability to stay focused and unruffled despite the criticism and doubts surrounding the team’s decision to start him. According to Jarrett, the negative energy surrounding the quarterback position has not affected Ridder in the least. He commended Ridder’s belief in his own abilities and his dedication to showcasing his skills day in and day out.

“I mean, he’s so confident in the things that he gonna be able to do and we’re confident in him, the things that we know he can achieve because he showed the work day in and day out,” said Jarrett.

As the conversation shifted to the Falcons’ prospects in the NFC South, Jarrett’s tone was resolute. He made it clear that the Atlanta Falcons are not content with simply participating in the division; they have their sights set on being the top team. Jarrett stated unequivocally that the team is determined to handle their business and achieve their goals.

“We [are not] going out there just to lay down on nobody,” expressed Jarrett. “We’re going to be where we want to be in the end… you want to win the division, you want to get to the postseason, you want to compete for championships and that’s what we focus on, being the best us we can be and that’s going to get us to where we need to be.”
