Texans’ Demaryius Thomas talks chemistry with Deshaun Watson

Add time and practice and the result, at least in the case of Demaryius Thomas, is the development of better chemistry between a receiver and his quarterback.
That’s what Thomas feels he has with Houston Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson, now that they’ve been together for nearly a month.
‘They were putting me in places where I didn’t have to think much’
Thomas, who joined the Texans October 30 in a trade with the Denver Broncos, caught two touchdown passes to help Houston to a 34-17 victory against the Tennessee Titans, the Texans’ eighth win in a row.
“As the week goes, the more we’re on the field, the more we’re getting reps and getting better and better every week,” Thomas told Bill Lekas on Late Hits Postgame. “And I get (more) comfortable every week. They were putting me in places where I didn’t have to think much. ‘Just go play ball.’ And that’s what we did (against the Titans).”
‘(Watson’s) a dual-threat guy’
Thomas is thrilled to have the multi-dimensional Watson as his quarterback.
“He can make every throw, he can run it,” Thomas said. “He’s a dual-threat guy. The defense has got to worry about not only us as receivers, tight ends and running backs. They’ve also got to worry about the quarterback with his feet. As you saw (against the Titans), he made a lot of good plays. He’s only getting better and better each week.”
