Arizona Cardinals rookie wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. — son of legendary Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Marvin Harrison — spoke with SiriusXM NFL Radio during training camp about growing up around NFL stadiums and being compared to Hall of Famers.

A two-time All-American for the Ohio State Buckeyes, Harrison Jr. was selected fourth overall in the 2024 NFL Draft.

Already Being Comfortable in NFL Stadiums

“I just feel like I’m supposed to be here,” Harrison Jr. said of joining the NFL. “This is what I’m supposed to do. It’s kind of my dream. I’m living out my dream, so I never try to put too much pressure on myself. Obviously, I’m super hard on myself, and on the field, I just want to be the best that I can be, but I think I’m supposed to be here, so that’s kind of been my mindset the whole time.”

Wide Receiver Comparisons

“I mean, you gotta think, I’ve been compared to a Hall of Famer my whole life, so coming into this situation’s not much different at this point,” Harrison Jr. said of being measured against first his father and now, on the Cardinals, Larry Fitzgerald.

He added, “I’m just gonna embrace it. There’s never going to be another Larry. Larry was great. I’m just trying to be the next me.”
