NFL goal posts.

SiriusXM NFL Radio (Ch. 88) will broadcast every round of the 2016 NFL Draft live from Thursday through Saturday. Coverage airs Thursday and Friday from 6:00 p.m. to 12 a.m. ET and Saturday from 12 p.m. to 7:00 pm ET.

Jim Miller and Pat Kirwan from NFL Radio’s Movin’ the Chains slid into the passenger seat and let their listeners take the wheel for the latest mock draft in advance of Thursday night’s 2016 NFL Draft in Chicago. The results? Well, the big news is that the Los Angeles Rams are taking Jared Goff with that #1 overall pick that they traded for from Tennessee. Additionally, as most of these mocks have suggested, the Cowboys will be taking a quarterback of the future in Carson Wentz. The Browns conveniently selected Ezekiel Elliot at the 8th spot, surely a decision made by an Ohio State partisan. Meanwhile, in a move that will make any Broncos fan ecstatic with glee (and any AFC West fan tremble in their boots); the mighty Denver defense gets a serious upgrade by nabbing Robert Nkemdiche from Ole Miss at the 31 spot.

Will any of these fan predictions come true? Who knows, but you, the SiriusXM subscriber, can get in on the fun as well by making your own NFL Draft predictions in our SiriusXM 2016 NFL Draft Picks Contest. Last year’s winner, a die-hard Detroit Lions fan named Matt Evans, shared some #ProTips from winning last year’s contest.

  • Evans on strategy: I owe this win to two guys. Jim Miller and Pat Kirwan on “Movin’ The Chains”. Listening daily and looking at their mock drafts every Friday trying to get some inside information to form my strategy.”
  • Evans on NFL team needs: “My plan was to look at each team and look at their biggest needs, what they lost in free agency, which players were franchised, and then look at their depth at those positions.”
  • And Matt’s experiences for the Detroit Lions opener in San Diego: “The San Diego fans’ were the second best fans that I have ever met (Second to the Detroit Lions). We were sitting by a couple of guys and they asked if this was our first time at Qualcomm. We told them it was. Then they told us we had the best seats in the house because the people in the lower area were all going to stand up when the game started and we wouldn’t be able to see anything down there. He was right, they all stood up, we had the best seats in the house. They were all friendly and my wife and I had a great time.”

Check out the sweet seats from Matt’s trip to San Diego and the full Fan Mock Draft below.
