Max Starks: Antonio Brown’s departure from Steelers ‘a formality’
Max Starks doesn’t see a scenario where Antonio Brown, the Pittsburgh Steelers and Ben Roethlisberger can find a way to resolve the differences that have led Brown to ask to be traded.

As far as Max Starks is concerned, the situation is too far gone to be fixed.
Starks doesn’t see a scenario where Antonio Brown, the Pittsburgh Steelers and Ben Roethlisberger can find a way to resolve the differences that have led Brown to ask to be traded.
‘It’s called BBR: burned beyond recognition’
“The blame pie can be cut into multiple pieces,” Starks, the former Steelers offensive tackle, said while co-hosting with Cole Wright on the SiriusXM Blitz. “But a lot of other people need to be present. It shouldn’t just be two individuals hashing this out. It needs to be a collective of individuals that should be hashing this out if they were going to proceed forward, without the trade issues and everything else.
“He’s asked for the trade. He’s kind of made it clear, especially with that one tweet talking about the conflict versus the matter of respect tweets, so it’s one of those things where I said it’s called BBR: burned beyond recognition. So I think it’s a matter of formality at this point.”
‘It was a lot of other people commenting on AB before AB really came out and talked’
Starks believes that a failure to communicate contributed heavily to the divide issues leading to the Brown controversy.
“You can see that the feelings are at an un-mendable point, I feel, just because of the lack of communication between individuals.”
“I think, once you’ve gotten to this point, you look at how the season ended, you look at how the feelings were talked about from that point to now,” Starks said. “And it was a lot of other people commenting on AB before AB really came out and talked, and then when he came out and talked, we got it. You can see that the feelings are at an un-mendable point, I feel, just because of the lack of communication between individuals, however things went down for that final game and the fact that AB left a stadium.
‘You’re at a point where it’s literally two sides just throwing rocks across the wall at each other’
“And then Mike T. having the press conference at the end of the season, identifying why he didn’t play and everything, and then of course AB kind of trolling during that press conference on social media but then not really going at it. And then you have this ‘Ask AB’ segment (on his Twitter account) and and he makes his comments about Ben and about everything else. So you’re at that point where it’s literally two sides just throwing rocks across the wall at each other.”
