Ramon Foster: Steelers have ‘taken care’ of Le’Veon Bell situation
Ramon Foster recognizes that the uncertain status of two of his teammates – running back Le’Veon Bell and wide receiver Antonio Brown – is the dominant topic of the Steelers’ offseason.

Ramon Foster is headed for free agency, so his own future with the Pittsburgh Steelers is the primary thought on his mind these days.
Still, the veteran guard recognizes that the uncertain status of two of his teammates – running back Le’Veon Bell and wide receiver Antonio Brown – is the dominant topic of the Steelers’ offseason.
‘We discovered a new star in this league and that’s James Conner’
As far as Foster is concerned, the Steelers have themselves covered in both cases.
“The Le’Veon situation was very unique in a sense that we actually had the opportunity to play out an entire season with a guy that was supposed to be his backup (James Conner),” Foster told Zig Fracassi and Max Starks on Late Hits. “And in doing that, we discovered a new star in this league and that’s James Conner. So I think, if Le’Veon’s not with the Steelers next year, that’s a situation that’s kind of handled itself.”
‘I don’t know what they’re going to get for (Brown) if they’re actually planning on trading him’
Foster believes the Steelers have a good handle on Brown’s situation.
“When you’re dealing with AB’s situation, the Steelers kind of control that card in a sense,” Foster said. “If he’s not there – unless the only reason that he won’t be there, according to Mr. (Art) Rooney, is he won’t be cut – there will be some trade value given. I don’t know what that’s going to say, I don’t know what they’re going to get for him if they’re actually planning on trading him, whether it’s draft picks or whether it’s players.
‘We all have known over the years has been one of the best in the world, period’
“So, hopefully, for them it won’t be a situation to where they won’t get equal value for a guy like Antonio Brown, who we all have known over the years has been one of the best in the in the world, period.”
