1. TYLER REDDICK
Not a Reddick like day at all at The Glen as the 23XI Racing driver posted a 27th place finish. However it was only a blip on the radar at least of late for Reddick who has been running well and with most of his other Playoff competitors having challenges on Sunday he remains the best of the series.
Last Week: 1st
2. CHRISTOPHER BELL
The Joe Gibbs Racing driver was all over the place at The Glen finally ending with a disappointing 14th place finish. Bell has been good of late though with five performances sixth or better over the last seven races on the schedule.
Last Week: 2nd
3. KYLE LARSON
He was the best of the Hendrick stable with a 12th place finish but Larson still has not been able to flex his muscle in the Playoffs. He’ll look to end the opening round on a high note with a much better night in Bristol than the first pair of races to open the post-season.
Last Week: 3rd
4. JOEY LOGANO
He’s already in the second round of the Playoffs thanks to his Atlanta win to open the post season. Logano is still searching to add points to the kitty and led six laps at The Glen before getting involved in several instances of contact to finish 15th on Sunday.
Last Week: 4th
5. AUSTIN CINDRIC
A huge leap for Cindric who is tied with Alex Bowman for most points accumulated in the first two Playoff races at 79 thanks to turning in back-to-back top-10 finishes. At the most important time of the season Cindric is excelling and looks to have a very solid shot at advancing to the next round.
Last Week: NR
6. DENNY HAMLIN
More problems for Hamlin in a weekend that began with a spin in practice and ended with the No. 11 car getting battered and banged up on his way to just 23rd place finish. Hamlin is six points below the cutline heading into the last race of the first round at Bristol.
Last Week: 5th
7. ALEX BOWMAN
Just an 18th place Watkins Glen finish for Bowman but he has been very solid in the opening two races of the Playoffs. The Hendrick Motorsports driver has 79 points over the opening pair of post-season races, which is tied with Austin Cindric.
Last Week: NR
8. WILLIAM BYRON
Things continue to go badly for Byron who came to Watkins Glen as the defending race winner. His day included a hard crash that saw his car climb on top of Brad Keselowski’s and the Hendrick Motorsports driver left Sunday with a disappointing 34th place finish.
Last Week: 7th
9. DANIEL SUAREZ
The Trackhouse Racing driver took the checkered flag 13th at The Glen, which was the fourth best finish among the 16 Playoff drivers in the field. Suarez has been inside the Top-10 four times over the last seven races.
Last Week: 10th
10. RYAN BLANEY
He was not credited with completing a single lap after being involved in an accident right after the drop of the green flag and a broken steering column ended the defending series champion’s day very early at Watkins Glen
Last Week: 5th
Dropped Out: Chase Elliott, Kyle Busch
